Editorial & Reviewer Opportunities

Join the IJCI Team

IJCI is building a multidisciplinary network of qualified peer reviewers and editorial contributors. Applications are selective, role-specific, and independently reviewed by the Editorial Office.

Peer review

Apply as Reviewer

Reviewers are invited only for manuscripts that match their documented clinical, scientific, or methodological expertise. Approved reviewer status does not create a public profile by default.

  • • Evaluate manuscripts independently and confidentially.
  • • Declare conflicts before accepting assignments.
  • • Provide constructive, evidence-based reports within the requested timeline.
  • • Maintain an accurate expertise and availability profile.

Editorial service

Apply to Editorial Board

Editorial appointments are based on documented expertise, scholarly activity, professional standing, specialty coverage, and the journal's operational needs. Confidential manuscript access is granted separately and only when required by role.

  • • Advise within genuine areas of expertise.
  • • Support editorial standards, independence, and research integrity.
  • • Protect confidential author, reviewer, and manuscript information.
  • • Disclose conflicts and recuse when appropriate.

What happens after you apply

  1. 1. Confirmation. You receive an application reference number and confirmation email.
  2. 2. Review. The Editorial Office reviews the CV, professional information, research profile, and journal fit.
  3. 3. Decision. Accepted applicants receive a formal role-specific welcome. Portal access is issued only when appropriate.
  4. 4. Ongoing status. Appointments and reviewer service can be ended, suspended, or updated without deleting the historical audit record.

Privacy & public listing

Confirmed Editorial Board appointments may be displayed publicly using professional information such as name, degree, institution, specialty, country, ORCID, or research-profile links when available. Application CVs and personal contact information are not published.

Peer reviewers are not publicly listed by default. Reviewer identity and confidential reports are handled according to the peer-review and privacy policies.

Application standards

  • Applications are reviewed for documented expertise, professional standing, scholarly fit, and current journal needs.

  • IJCI aims to respond to complete service applications within 10 business days; credential verification may take longer.
